A product catalog is the complete, structured set of products a store sells, including images, descriptions, prices, stock and category assignments.
Catalogue quality drives almost everything downstream — search visibility, conversion rate and the volume of pre-purchase questions you have to answer manually.
The most common weakness in small catalogues is duplicated or manufacturer-supplied descriptions, which leave the store competing against every other seller using identical words.
